Medicvent’s Destructor is designed for the high flow rates used in the Double Mask and the Medicvent Central Fan System, ensuring maximum capture of leaking nitrous oxide. It is energy-efficient and can be capacity-adjusted to meet specific needs. The SWINGTHERM® DeN2O is available in three different sizes, is easy to install and use, and is highly reliable, with minimal requirements for supervision, maintenance, and service.
The SWINGTHERM® DeN2O eliminates up to 99% of the nitrous oxide present in the collected exhaled air. Purification occurs via a catalytic process combined with high-efficiency regenerative heat exchange, breaking down nitrous oxide into oxygen and nitrogen, the primary components of ordinary air. The equipment is CE-marked, indicating it meets the requirements of the Machinery Directive concerning health and safety.
The machine is delivered in three parts: an electrical cabinet (including control system (PLC) and operator panel), fan housing, and catalyst section. These components are assembled on-site. The accompanying operator panel allows for easy monitoring of the process.
The Destructor is available in three sizes: S05 (350m³/h), S1 (750m³/h), and S3 (1650m³/h).
Nitrous oxide contributes to the greenhouse effect and the depletion of the ozone layer. Nitrous oxide is up to 300 times more potent than carbon dioxide, making it especially important to purify.
